First, I hope you all enjoy this new section. As LSJC club is more than just a Jeep club for many members, I wanted us to have an area that was easy to discuss our non Jeep related activities as well; be it shooting, sports, birthday parties, whatever. So, to aid in this, I've also created a new calendar. You can access the Non-Jeep Events calendar here:

http://www.lonestarjeepclub.org/board/calendar.php?s=&month=3&year=2007&do=&c=3

Also, at this time, anyone may add an event to the calendar, but a moderator will have to approve it.

With all that said, enjoy the new area, and hopefully we can continue to grow as a family.

I am also testing an upgrade via this forum as well. For non-Jeep events only, you DO NOT need to start a thread and add a calendar event. Just add it to the calendar, and a discussion thread will be automagically created that will contain the event name and date as the title.

As usual, let me know if you like it or not.

I tried to post a non-jeep event in the forum and was told my calender post was awaiting approval... no thread appeared in the forum. Is there a forum or just a calender or both or neither...? :help:

It requires a moderator to approve it. I'm looking into why its not notifying us of new events.

I think I got the other new feature working, so i'm gonna announce it:

Once an event has been approved and added to the calendar, if you click on the event from the calendar or from the thread link, you will no see an RSVP option. You can click yes, no or maybe, and also include how many guests you are bringing. Also, tehre is a comments box to add notes. This should make it easier for the leaders of the events since they don't have to read the entire thread to figure out who is going or not, and then modify the original post.
