October 2020 JOTM Winner!

Congratulations to Kyle “JeepOps” Cossel for winning the October 2020 JOTM Contest!

This photo was taken a few weeks ago on Imogene Pass, near Telluride, Colorado. As you come down from the pass headed toward Ouray, CO, this outcropping sticks out from the main trail and is just wide enough to drive out on.

This picture almost didn’t happen. As we started up the trail from Telluride, the ignition actuator failed so that we could not start the Jeep. We ended up tearing apart the steering column and starting the Jeep with a screwdriver for the weekend.

This was my first “overlanding” trip and I can’t wait to get out there again. While we were in the area, I was able to get Jeep Badges of Honor for Ophir Pass, Imogene Pass and Engineer Pass.
