This is a software package with the forum just one of the functions that is being used. Right now we are using Events, email notifications, calendar, loyalty rewards, paid members record ownership, LSJC store, links to bank account for payments. As we learn more on how to use all of the features that includes automation, they will be leveraged. The yearly WIX Core Premium Plan is $350.00 annually. Now compare that to the old forum 2023 annual fees of $610.07 that did not have half of the features we have today along with a cost increase for 2024. So, fiscally, moving to this new software is saving the club money as well as allowing us to automate many things. Hope this answers your question.

I do agree that this has about as much traffic as the old forum did when it was closed down. Not many posts were being performed there as well in 2023. I am far from a marketing or communication resource. If you have the skills and time to get more people involved in the forum, please volunteer to be the forum chairperson. A chairperson focuses on a specific area of the club. For me, I am the membership chair performing all of the back-office tasks and actions related to tracking the membership groups. This software package is cheaper than the old forum software and provides a lot more features that we are using. It has established interfaces with different fulfillment vendors for the LSJC shop, provides a loyalty program that we are using, has better event tracking where we can have people RSVP as well as check-in event features that we are using, an interface between their software on social media channels, etc. We are continuing to leverage other features. Do not get me wrong. All of the brought up points are very valid concerns. Any assistance that can be provided to make it better, please let us know.

What forum categories should be added OR broken out to sub-categories?

Based on my observations, almost all threads from all members are done on the Facebook group page. Some members review this web site for event updates as well as Jeep of the Month voting. You can also see you LSJC Reward Points. Also, it is easy to get to the club store along with club discounts. Social media is more commonplace today than when the club first started. We hope more members will use this channel as well as Facebook.

Bottle of rubbing alcohol if you get into poison ivy. It will get the plant oil off of your skin.
