As stated, the WIX software does not have a "button" to show New Posts. It does it by sorting all the posts, similar to Facebook. Please remeber, WIX is a Commercial Off-The-Shelf software. As with any software you purchase, you are limited to the features that are provided Out-of-the-Box by their software engineers. As with any new software implementation, we are doing our best to learn and leverage the out of the box features to do what we want it to do. Before someone states that we can customize and add a button, yes, we can. We can add a button almost anywhere. The problem is figuring out how to code the button to find all of your posts that is new to you, as a user, and then display it. Can this be customized by writing code behind the scenes to do this? Probably... Do we have a member who is willing to donate their free time and intellectual property as a WIX expert/consultant to do this? Not at this time. The board is learning how to do this, but it will take time. Did we have the issues back in 1999 and 2000 with the old forum? Yes we did since we was all learning how to use it. Can someone be hired to do this? Yes, for between $50.00 to $200.00 per hour. This does not take into account any minimal charges per project.
We all want to make this new platform work the best for us. People are doing their best to make this club great. If you can assist by donating your time and skills, please do so. Making suggestions on how to make it better is always appreciated.
This is a long comment to state that all suggestions are welcome and encouraged. However, commenting that someone's suggestion or work is "lame" is not encouraging or helpful. I actually liked your initial thought of adding the button. That is a great idea. Calling someone's effort to show what we can do with this software lame, is not.
