Hey all, new here. I've got a new-to-me 21 Rubicon 4xe, looking forward to taking it offroad. Already planning on going to the 101 class in late September. On a side note, I've got a friend from out-of-town that might be visiting around that time. Anyone know of a local rental place that allows offroading? I think he'd like to join us if we can find him one.

I have had the Pategonia Milestar MT 37s for a couple of years on My JLUR. It is my main daily driver. I wheel it pretty hard but I'm easy on the skinny pedal.

Very good question. We have switched from CB to GMRS radios. On the posts and pages for the event, we will state what GMRS channels we will try to use. This may change when at the venue if a channel is being used by another club/group. We use the "common" channels since those frequencies are either pre-programmed in your device OR can be easily found if you have to program your device. Hope this helps.

If you drive conservatively offroad you will be ok. If you try to baja blast your way through stuff don't be surprised when things break. There are things you can do to limit your weak points but at the end of the day it's still a d44 and 37s are fairly large for it. Especially when you factor the weight of a loaded JT being nearly 6k pounds. Gussets, sleeves, truss, RCV shafts are great and can limit what can break/cause a breakage but they come at a cost that could be used to offset the price of set of Currie Semi Float D60s axles. They are absolutely stronger and still use the JL 5x5 bolt pattern.
