- Jump Start RecommendationsIn Help & Tech Topics·January 18, 2024With this freezing weather we are having, I have had several discussions with people on what to use to jump start their vehicle. For me, I have a NOCO GB40 for the Jeep. I have used it several times to quickly jump start a car. The only thing that I find as a nuisance is when the car battery is so low/dead that it cannot find it. This is a safety feature. It has an override button that you can use, but you have to read the manual to figure out how this feature works. I also have a bigger one for the diesel tow-rig. You can find more information at: NOCO - 1000A Lithium Jump Starter - GB40 (https://no.co/gb40) ... What do you use???? Always interested to knowing if there are better products we can use that might be less expensive if we ever have to replace this.0647
- April Moab EventIn General Discussion·February 10, 2024Is there any info available for the Moab trip in April? I see the dates changed with the latest event calendar. Is there a formal itinerary? I'm trying to book accommodations, and things are full/filling up quickly. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.0499

- How to score new Jeeps for under MSRPIn General Discussion·May 16, 2024I've never paid MSRP for a new jeep and neither should you. Here are some resources that can help you save some of your hard earned cash. Even during peak COVID when inventory was impossible you could order for 5% off MSRP. If a dealer is charging a 'market price adjustment' on a jeep laugh and walk away knowing you are about to score one for $10,000+ less than what they want. Make sure you leave a 1 star review for them on google as well. First, join Tread Lightly as this will give a 1% discount off your new Jeep at any dealer right away plus tons of other benefits. Second, look at the 'Sponsors' and 'Ordering, Pricing, Production, Tracking' sections of the JLWranglerForums. Dealers here will commonly post their internet buy offers. Third, consult this spreadsheet. It is not always fully up to date but it can point you in several good direction for ordering. As an example of current deals Koons is offer 7.5% to 8.5% under invoice pricing for all jeeps models except the 392. For the 392 they are doing $9k off MSRP. These discounts come out to about 11-12% off MSRP. A few notes to keep in mind: 1. This is for ordering and NOT for on the lot inventory. 2. Build times take 6 weeks to 6 months and your dealer cannot 'rush' your order. 3. There are ways that you can track your order and your dealer can track your order in finer detail at certain stages. 4. Sometimes big deals are far away but you save so much money that you can pay to have your jeep shipped to you. 5. Flying in to do paperwork and getting picked up at the local airport by the dealer is a common thing that they do. You then road trip home in your new jeep. 6. I'm not vouching for any dealer or the accuracy of the list. Use it at a guideline or to leverage local a local dealer to get a better offer. To sum it up don't pay more than MSRP or even MSRP....Pay Less!2075

- Old forum vs new forumIn General DiscussionMay 1, 2024I do agree that this has about as much traffic as the old forum did when it was closed down. Not many posts were being performed there as well in 2023. I am far from a marketing or communication resource. If you have the skills and time to get more people involved in the forum, please volunteer to be the forum chairperson. A chairperson focuses on a specific area of the club. For me, I am the membership chair performing all of the back-office tasks and actions related to tracking the membership groups. This software package is cheaper than the old forum software and provides a lot more features that we are using. It has established interfaces with different fulfillment vendors for the LSJC shop, provides a loyalty program that we are using, has better event tracking where we can have people RSVP as well as check-in event features that we are using, an interface between their software on social media channels, etc. We are continuing to leverage other features. Do not get me wrong. All of the brought up points are very valid concerns. Any assistance that can be provided to make it better, please let us know.0
