- 2012 JOTY Winner Tim “Bounty”
Congratulations to Tim “Bounty” for 2012 JOTY This photo was taken by club member tehiv (Thomas) in Hot Springs, during the 2012 spring run. The trail doesn?t have a name, but it?s B28 on the map ? it has a rating of just 2, but scenic and fun. Hot Springs is our faVorite place to wheel, some parts rarely get seen if you head straight for the harder trails, but we tend to cruise the easier stuff. The Jeep is a 2005 Rubicon, it has 2.5? of spring lift and I run 33? Goodyears. Most of the upgrades I have are armor, althOugh I have added a Teraflex tummy tuck as well. I can?t wait for the next Hot Springs run, thank you to everyone that voted.”
- December 2012 JOTM Winner!
December 2012 JOTM Winner! Congratulations to Shane “DOZ3R” for December 2012 JOTM Winner! This picture was taken by Josh Bertschy at his event in Clayton on October 13th of this year. This was my shakedown run with the Baertrax 609 axles. Worked as promised. I drive this rig almost everyday and love it more every time I drive it. It actually just made it from Dallas to Laredo and back. We also added ARB’s, OBA, the Raceline Beadlocks and 40″ Krawlers during the axle build too. Most of the armor is Poison Spyder steel except the tube fenders which are aluminum. I’ve got Mastercrafts, Genright aluminum front bumper, a new gas tank skid, Amsteel rope, and an evap skid in the garage waiting for a long weekend and hopefully they will all be present during the next photo op. Happy Holidays and Wheeling to all.
- November 2012 JOTM Winner!
November 2012 JOTM Winner! Congratulations Landon “JKCrawl3r” JOTM Winner! This picture was taken by a fellow Jeeper from JeepForum on September 22, 2012 at Bridgeport, Texas on “The Twins”. This outing was originally made to test out the new lockers David Anderson had installed a few weeks before. Once I arrived I decided to put them to the real test. I made it up the first half and 90 percent of the second half when I had to get tugged a little by Hanahou because of high centering on the top. The Jeep performed great and it was a beautiful weekend. The Jeep is a 2011 JK with a 4 inch lift, 35s, 4.88s, Bumpers, Winch, Sliders, Sport cage, Line-x tub, Detroit in the rear, Spartan lunchbox up front, and some other bolt ons.
- October 2012 Jeep of the Month Winner!
October 2012 JOTM Winner! Congratulations David “Flying M” JOTM Winner! This picture was taken at the top of Waterfall Trail at the original Katemcy Rocks OHV Park by The Better Half (Pam), during one of BaerTrax Customer Appreciation Runs. You can see Russ Baer?s legs in front of the Jeep, as the spotter. A great spotter actually makes this section easy. You may also recognize some long time LSJC members watching from the rocks. Rawrr?s (Rob Anderson) JOTM picture back in Aug 2009 was taken at the lower section of this trail. To this day Waterfall is one of my favorite trails ever, and I miss that park; although K2 is a very good replacement. A great time was had. It just doesn?t get much better than a weekend of wheeling with friends.
- September 2012 Jeep of The Month Winner!
September 2012 JOTM Winner Al aka SharkmanTx The Jeep started out as a pristine, garage kept and never wheeled 1992 YJ Islander that he bought in the summer of 2007. He started selling parts off of it immediately. Through sales, swaps and buys it has ended up being a 1992 YJ straight 6 with automatic, hardtop, full doors and cloth half doors. He has added Poison Spyder Customs Crusher Corners with 3 inch flares, Rocker Knocker Sliders, Flat Fenders with 3 inch flares, Power Steering Skid, Comp Stinger and Rear Stinger Tire carrier. It also has a Warn gas tank skid, SB winch, Lights by Rigid Industries, custom flame stitched suspension seats front and rear from Twisted Stitch. All of the mods have either be bought or customized by LSJC’s awesome vendors. Since the day he bought it he knew it would not stay red. He decided in 2009 to paint it Sublime Green from Mopar. Every piece he bought for the Jeep is function first but he ask does it come in lime green or black to keep the overall theme of his Jeep. His kids named it Daddy-O because it reminds them of Him. He often drives it with his matching Vans on which are Lime Green. The Picture was taken on the first morning after camping with the group from LSJC on the Beach Bash Run to Padre Island at about 6am. They had all camped with their Jeeps in front of them so when he got out of the tent that morning to make coffee all he saw was an incredible sun rise out over the Gulf of Mexico.
- August 2012 Jeep Of The Month Winner!
August 2012 JOTM Winner Rick B. “Hanahou” The picture was taken at Bridgeport Tx. the day after the LSJC Election Run, the trail is The Twins, I was following behind Flying M. I went down a different line than Flying M at that time, and then the Jeep decided that it was going take it’s own path, and thanks to Steve for helping to keep it balanced by hanging out the door while the Jeep was teeter totting along! Thanks to the better half Pam for the picture!
- July 2012 JOTM Winner!
July 2012 JOTM Winner David “Cosmos”! *This photograph was taken by fellow club member Josatchell (John Satchell) with a Sony DSCT200 while I was wheeling at Katemcy Rocks 2 near Mason TX during the All Y’All Crawl 2012 Memorial Day Weekend event sponsored by Baertrax. I don’t recall this granite outcrop really having a name it was just a ridge of rock I think. This was my first experience on big “slab” rock and I really got to flex the Rock Krawler 3.5 Mid-Arm suspension. The ACE Rock sliders preformed very well and were put to good use as were the RCV front axels and Nitro Control arm skids and ARB diff covers. Running on factory/stock 31″ tires still provided enough grip to get around the obstacles. It was a beautiful weekend in Hill Country and K2 is an exciting and challenging park. Thank you John for a great photograph and club members for the votes.*

- MAY 2012 JOTM Winner
May 2012 JOTM Winner “mmmmbeer” Brian! Photo was taken by my wife Tammy on Twister, at BMRA, during the Feb. 2012 LSJC New Guys Run. On the harder trails, she always gets out to snap a few shots. We’ve been to Gilmer several times, but this was my first time on Twister…fun trail! This was the first of two attempts to make it up… I almost made the top, then slid back down and gave the rig some fresh beauty marks. The Jeep has a Teraflex 4 1/2″ LCG long arm suspension, front and rear D60,s, Detroit and ARB, 5:13’s, 39.5″ Pitbull bias Rockers, Warn 9.5ti, and a few other little things.

April 2012 JOTM Winner Jeepin Jen This picture was taken on our trip to Moab last year on the Hell’s Revenge trail. The scenery was amazing! You could see the snowy covered La Sal mountains in the background from pretty much every trail. This was one of my favorite shots.

March 2012 JOTM Winner “MudMan” Jim This Pic was taken by my friend Lance out at BMRA in Gilmer Texas back in July 2007. I was on Clyde’s Ravine and got a little off camber on the front end. I ended up with a strap on the back and the front then drove/pulled out.
